How to choose a body-contouring device for your clinic
A body-contouring device is a significant investment. Beyond the brochure, these are the eight criteria we recommend checking — even if you don't choose AdipoXtrem.
- Client demand. Body shape, cellulite, firmness? One area or several? Combined devices cover more goals if each technology is properly implemented.
- Regulatory compliance. Ask for the declaration of conformity, instructions for use in your language and the claimed classification. In the EU, equipment intended to reduce or destroy adipose tissue falls under specific requirements of the Medical Device Regulation (Annex XVI); other markets have their own rules.
- Device-specific evidence. Be wary of studies on another machine or on a technology in general. Ask what was measured on the device itself, and how.
- Ergonomics for your team. How long is the handpiece held, and in what posture? Hands-free solutions reduce physical load but require careful applicator set-up.
- Session workflow. Session length, areas per appointment, set-up and cleaning time determine your real capacity.
- Training and support. Who trains your team, for how long, on what? Are marketing materials provided?
- Service and warranty. Warranty length, response times, loan equipment, spare parts and applicators — in writing.
- Honest profitability. Start from a realistic local session price, cautious occupancy and all your costs. Revenue is not profit. Our simulator separates revenue, costs and margin.
